Young Adults

We want to see young adults grow as disciples of Jesus Christ, develop Godly leadership in their places of education and work, seeking the transformation of their communities. St Andrew’s is a place where you can encounter God, grow in discipleship, be part of a loving and supportive church family, and wrestle with questions present during this stage of your life.

Who is a young adult?

We recognise that there’s often overlap in terms of life stages. Our young adults ministry is aimed at those who have graduated from their undergraduate studies (or are that age) up to those in their late thirties, and includes singles, married couples and those with children.

We want to …

  • Gather as a group to deepen our relationships with each other and with God;

  • Scatter into the wider church family (e.g. by joining a home group) and we scatter as disciples of Jesus into our communities;

  • Serve in different areas of church life and sometimes serve outside church.

Postgraduates

Have you moved to Oxford to undertake postgrad or postdoc work? We want to support and encourage you by offering a supportive church family, a place to encounter God, a community of others in similar work, and a place to find help and ask questions about life as a postgraduate student.

Get plugged in …

  • Don’t miss the Postgraduate welcome events in October, hosted by local churches — learn more on the Oxford Pastorate website.

  • Join our Postgrad Lunches - see upcoming events in the calendar.

  • Find a mentor within the church family who has experience of postgraduate life.

  • Find a place to serve within the St Andrew’s family.

house groups

We encourage all members of our church family to be part of a home group, whether that might be a group with other young adults or a mixed-age group.

Young Adult Gatherings

We gather regularly as a group for a variety of activities – these are a great way to catch up with one another and meet new people.

Serve

We grow through service. There are plenty of ways to get involved — whether it be in youth work, worship or outside in the wider community.
