Cutteslowe Youth and Community Worker – Three Year Fixed Term Contract
For over 15 years, St Andrew’s Church, North Oxford, has sought to encourage and develop community activity through detached youth and community work on the Cutteslowe estate. For the last four years, a small community church (Cutteslowe Connected) has started arising from this work. Increasingly, we are working alongside local churches to partner in our mission together.
We now are seeking a dynamic individual who wants to put their Christian faith into action in a local community setting who will lead our community work by developing existing groups and contacts, and by creating new opportunities to see the social, emotional, physical and spiritual transformation of Cutteslowe.
We are looking for a Youth and Community Worker with:
experience in youth and community work;
a passion for mission and community transformation;
the ability to build relationships with those they come into contact with;
the ability to share the gospel in a culturally relevant way.
Total package (excluding pension) from £22,000 - £26,000 (dependent on qualifications and experience). The church also pays 10% of salary into a pension.
There is a genuine occupational requirement that the holder of this post is a committed Christian. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
Please feel free to contact us on email@example.com if you have any questions.
