Dominus Illuminatio Mea - The Lord is my light

I¹m sure we'll all recognise this as the motto of the University, and this
is where Operation Sovereign starts. The words, still regularly proclaimed,
are simply an accurate reflection of the conviction that all learning, and
this vast repository of world influencing knowledge, is the gift of God.

But wherever God moves in power, as we all know, the devil is very quick to
try and muscle in, and what has happened in Oxford over the last few
centuries, ­ most clearly seen in the so-called battle between science and
faith and the rapid advance of aggressive secularism, ­ is no exception.

We believe that the Lord now has plans to reassert His sovereignty, and that
He has specifically called us at this time to partner with Him in prayer and
go out onto the streets of our parish for the period of one year, to pray in
His blessing.

Operation Sovereign started on September 25th 2011, and will last till the same
date 2012. We still need volunteers to join with us and pledge around an hour a
week to walk an agreed route. Could He be calling you? Watch the film again

By the way, you don't need a degree in prayer ­ only availability and a
willingness/desire to learn more.
