THE JOY PLACE

There's something new in Oxford ...

The JOY PLACE is an accessible church service and fellowship group for people with learning disabilities. It is all too easy for these valuable members of our society to feel marginalised and disconnected, even in our churches!

Affiliated with Causeway Prospects (www.prospects.org.uk/index.php/causeway_prospects/), we will meet on the first Sunday of each month at St Andrew's Church North Oxford. The JOY PLACE will be a safe and encouraging environment where we can share the love of Christ with each other. The service will begin at 14:30 and last for 45 minutes approximately with tea and biscuits afterwards.

We would be very grateful if you would spread the word about this exciting group and encourage any people with learning disabilities and their carers and or family to come along. We would also love to support you in any outreach to your local communities, please contact us below to discuss your requirements.

The group is run by Matt and Jenny Long (who go to St Andrew's) with Chuck and Anita Saunders (who attend Calvary church in Botley). We have set up a website www.joyplace.org.uk which has more information. We also have flyers and posters available for you to advertise the event. Please contact us for more information or if you'd like some flyers or posters.
