Prayer
"My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations" Mk 11:17
In a large and able congregation it is easy to think we can do things in our own strength. That is a fatal mistake. We yearn for this Church to be a 'house of prayer'. We can only do this is people commit to make it so. Please join us ...
The staff who are about in the office pray each day at 12:45pm in Southside – you are welcome to join them. In addition there are the following prayer meetings:
Pizza, Prayer and Praise
is the main church prayer meeting and meets on the first Monday of the month (pizza from 7.45pm followed by prayer from 8 -9.15pm) No need to sign-up - just turn up to join this crucial meeting - usually held in Southside.
Friday morning prayer
We meet in church from 7.15- 8am (coffee and croissants at 7.15am, prayer 7.30-8am)
Prayer for Faith for Healing
Meets on the 3rd Monday of the month. 7.45 -9.15pm.
This is a time to worship, listen to God and ask him to increase our faith that he can break into difficult situations, particularly with regard to healing. This includes physical and emotional healing as well as healing for broken relationships.
Other prayer at St Andrews
This is a year long prayer initiative which started in September 2011. We are asking people to commit and hour a week to prayer walk the parish. For further details click here
24/1 prayer
We also organize occasional 24/1 prayer days which people can sign-up for.
Finally we have a group on the website that is emailed (infrequently) when an emergency situation arises for a member of the congregation (or someone close to a member) For further details click here
