Children

What goes on in the children's groups?

Here at St. Andrew’s we are committed to solid, Biblical teaching in the children’s groups. We want the children to be excited about being a Christian and help enable them to tell their friends about God. Our leaders and helpers are all dedicated Christians themselves and strive to teach and get to know the children in a fun and loving atmosphere.
In the two younger groups there is time for them to sing, play, do a craft, have a snack, hear a Bible lesson, and listen to stories. The older groups spend time listening to a Bible lesson, doing crafts and activities, singing songs, and playing games. The children join their parents in church to begin with, leave them at 09:50 to join their groups, and then are collected by their parents from their respective rooms at 10:40.
The children’s groups at St. Andrew’s are divided up into 8 groups which meet in various rooms in and near the church. On the first Sunday of every month we have an All Age service when the children and their families are in church together. There are no groups these Sundays; however if you have restless children there are toys in the Parish Room drawers.
